Description

Very good condition. Light stain marks on right side of first page. Minor chipping on bottom right edge of internal pages.
Brochure appears to be lightly used. No other marks or handwriting.

Report discusses the characteristics of sand pine cones and seeds for both the Choctawhatchee race and the Ocala race. Discusses extraction techniques, germination, cone specific gravity, seed yields, pre-germination treatments, seed viability, and storage. This was early work in the development of advanced reforestation systems for sand pine.
Paper provides acknowledgements to the Florida Forest Service and Ocala National Forest personnel.
Good addition to forest conservation history / memorabilia collection.
